To My Readers:

We just got back from vacationing in the Smokey Mountains and what do I find…my site has been hijacked!  Thanks to my daughter, Erin, for notifying me of the problem.

I was unable to delete the added files of gibberish and foul language and wound up terminating the entire site and reinstalling it.  Needless to say, I lost several years of posts today.  I’ve been commenting on health products and research news for a number of years now and it’s all gone.

This wasn’t the only site I have that was hacked into, but it is the only one I could not recover.

Lessons learned the hard way:  When your hosting company recommends better passwords, they really mean it.  This time I used the password generator and now my passwords look like nonsense.    I’m also changing all my passwords on any sites I have to prevent this in the future.

The second thing I learned is to turn on the wordpress backup and actually have it sent to a working email address not associated with this website.

I’ll try to reconstruct some of my posts and get this health review and report site back up and running again.  If you have any requests for reviews, just fill out the contact form and I’ll get it.
