Mother’s Day
I just got back from spending Mother’s Day with my girls and grandson in Pennsylvania. Alex made his first communion. The kids are just adorable all dressed up and so serious for the occasion. We all enjoyed ourselves at a family picnic later and according to Alex, he ‘really cleaned up’ with presents. It was great to see my mom and sister as well. My mother’s birthday is today and she’s (gasp!) 88. Hopefully, she’ll live it up and do something wild. (ha-ha)
This just makes me think how important family and our loved ones are to us.
And so, we owe it to ourselves and them to make an effort to maintain good health. I’ll have to think on my own needs - as always, I know I need to get out more and be more physical on a regular basis. It’s hard to do when you work over 70 hours a week - I’m usually only stepping out the door around 9pm for my nightly walk with the dogs. But lately, I’ve started doing some small routines during my day. I’ll take 5 minutes here and there to stretch or lift some light weights. I took some to my office so they’ll be easily available. My goal is to include at least 30 minutes a day of some form of exercise and this is how I can manage to squeeze it in with my busy schedule.
Here’s to your good health - May we all be healthy, wealthy and wise.
Let me know what works for you in staying healthy, maybe you’re doing something that can really inspire others.
Chris
